On Your Side When Buying a Home

If you are on the lookout for a new place to live, Jefferson Fine Homes is here to help.  We assist anyone looking to own a home in the Richmond, Virginia area.  Examining your financial situation, we work with lenders and determine the right price range for your mortgage and purchase.  There is no charge or obligation for an appointment to discuss the buying process.

Finding the Right Community

You can count on us to help you find the best location where you would like to live.  We begin with a discussion of your plans for a home that will meet your needs as well as your dreams.  This will include your thoughts on what you must have in a home and features that would be nice to have.  We will get to know as much as possible about your goals for your future and how we can match that with a home and community most suitable for you.  There will be an orientation for the process of finding a home, contracting, borrowing and settlement to close the purchase.  The homes you would like to view will be shown.  Once you find the right home, our evaluation of the home's value through a market analysis will confirm whether or not the price being asked is fair and reasonable.

Making an Offer

When you want to buy, we write the offer and see to it that it is presented to the seller or seller's agent immediately.  After this, we go through the negotiation process to reach a final agreement.  You will need to have a home inspector look for any defects, and we are present for that inspection.  We negotiate into the contract repairs and replacements to be made by the seller prior to settlement.

Classic Colonial Style House

In the end, our team works with your lender and coordinates the settlement of the contract with an attorney of your choice, following the details of the transaction all the way from beginning to end.  If you have any questions or need more information, we can assist you even after settlement.
